The Howgill Fells

Snuggled in between Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen, the Howgills have been described as ‘a herd of sleeping elephants’.  Rounded and soft, they provide wonderful walking with wide open views and soft grass underfoot.  Unfrequented by crowds, you can walk all day here and not see a soul.  The southern part of the fells are contained within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, along with the book town of Sedbergh.

And dances with the daffodils
