A man-made wonder in a wonderful natural landscape. Whether it’s walking along all 73 miles of the Wall or visiting one of the many Roman forts, there is so much to do in this northern frontier land. Market towns and villages have grown up in close proximity to the Wall, providing the perfect place to soak up the atmosphere and discover more about the Roman Interlude in Britain. With its own bus service running the length of the Wall, it’s easy to combine walking with sight-seeing.
